Extract:To conclude: We should never despair of changing hearts and minds in the quest for peace and real reconciliation with the ‘Other’, through education, and by revealing today historical truths, and irrefutable facts. As we have repeatedly stated at the UN Commission on Human Rights: It is time to monitor this grave situation of a martyred dhimmi people – the Copts of Egypt, the direct heirs of one of humanity’s oldest civilizations – painfully forced to choose between the creeping renewal of a modern form of “dhimmitude” in Egypt, or exile and freedom in the West.
